Our mosque provides an introduction service for Muslims of all ages and backgrounds. Our Imam has a very large network of people and has helped more than 20 people finding their right partner. If you are interested in finding a marriage partner for yourself or for a family member please fill in the following 'Marriage Form' and email it to ziaulquran@outlook.com. You can also fill the form in, take a picture of it and send it to our email.

The mosque also provides marriage services cementing partnerships according to Islamic and civil matrimony. The mosque is linked with the Registrar of marriages for conducting legally recognised civil Muslim marriages. The following needs to be carried out for your marriage

  1. If you wish for your marriage to be conducted at Zia-Ul-Quran or by the Imam at an appointed venue, please contact the Imam through either 07888896065 or ziaulquran@outlook.com
  2. You will then need to “give notice” of the marriage by submitting marriage notice forms to the registrar of the district. The form can be obtained from the National Records of Scotland website at www.nrscotland.gov.uk.
  3. Notice must be given in the three-month period prior to the date of the marriage and NOT LATER than 29 days before that date.
  4. Once the registrar is satisfied that there is no legal impediment to the marriage, a Marriage Schedule is prepared. At least one of the parties to the marriage must attend personally at the registration office to collect the Marriage Schedule. It is the responsibility of the parties to the marriage to produce the Marriage Schedule to the Imam.
  5. Please note that the Imam WILL NOT solemnise a marriage without the Marriage Schedule being available at the time of the ceremony.
